Wherein Our Heroes celebrate Canada’s performances to-date at the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The Canadian men open with a victory over Martinique, but questions remain about John Herdman’s makeshift backline. Cavalry FC win yet another Al Classico clash and their traveling supporters have a glorious banner confiscated. Also, York earn their first home league win over Pacific FC and Forge FC continue to stay in the title race after earning full points in Winnipeg.

Episode 134: The World Cup Floweth

Wherein Our Heroes recap the first week of World Cup 2018, provide opinion on FC Edmonton’s crest and celebrate a successful United Bid for World Cup 2026. In Russia, the Japanese and Senegalese supporters show pure class by cleaning the stands instead of celebrating victory on the streets. The Haircut of the Week returns to give plaudits to Neymar’s Noodle Bowl/Spaghetti/Llama coif. Portugal have played well around Cristiano Ronaldo, but how far can he carry the squad on his chiseled shoulders? Also, Argentina look the polar opposite, unable to click around Lionel Messi. We follow the Moskva, down to Gorky Park, listening to the wind of chaaaaaaaaange.
