Cristiano Ronaldo attempts to steal the tournament’s thunder with his transfer to The Old Lady, but winds up being a blip on the radar. Also, Hamilton’s Canadian Premier League team is unveiled as Forge FC.

Joachim Löw blames “adrenaline and concentration” on a double scratch ’n sniff, we are definitely not having the violence that has marred the group stage, and Croatia’s midfield shows it can keep pace with Spain’s best.
